Project Description
Fintro is a networking and careers platform for the fintech industry, bringing together professionals and companies shaping the future of finance. I was commissioned to create the brand from the ground up, developing the name, logo, and visual identity.
The Challenge
The fintech industry is filled with brands that look and feel remarkably similar. Blue dominates the category, while many identities lean heavily on generic technology aesthetics. The goal was to create a brand that felt innovative and trustworthy without blending into the crowd.
The Solution
The name Fintro combines fintech and intro, reflecting the platform’s purpose of introducing people to new career opportunities and professional connections.
The logo is built around an abstract F monogram, formed using signal lines inspired by contactless payments and digital transactions.
To carve out a distinctive position within the category, I created a warm colour palette centred on copper, burnt orange, rich brown, and deep eggplant.
Outcome
Although the platform was ultimately never launched, the project provided an opportunity to build a brand from the ground up, from naming and strategy through to a complete visual identity system. It remains an example of creating a distinctive identity for a crowded and highly competitive industry.
